NOW, let’s explore how prioritizing self-care can lead us to the inner work of self-inquiry and acceptance without judgment. One of the most powerful journeys we can embark on is seeing ourselves clearly—flaws and all—and fully accepting who we are.

This self-acceptance is the foundation of inner abundance and authentic living. It took me a long time to embrace my past. “I’m sorry.” is still a mantra, but I know everything has brought me to this new NOW.

Self-inquiry is a vital skill in this process of acceptance. I love the depth of self-inquiry work and continue to let go of the past. I have an entire book on this self-work: “Turning the Page” is the perfect journal for letting go AFTER understanding the why and capturing the wisdom.

By turning our attention inward, we begin to observe our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without judgment. This practice helps us to identify the patterns and beliefs that shape our experience of the world. Pause NOW with some supportive steps to achieve total self-acceptance through self-inquiry:

Cultivate Mindfulness: Start with a regular mindfulness practice. This could be as simple as daily meditation or mindful breathing exercises. Mindfulness helps us become aware of our thoughts and feelings in the present moment, creating a space for self-inquiry.

Ask Reflective Questions: Use open-ended questions to explore your inner world. Questions like “What am I feeling right now?”, “Why do I react this way?”, and “What beliefs are influencing my actions?” can reveal hidden aspects of your psyche.

Observe Without Judgment: As you uncover different aspects of yourself, practice observing them without judgment. Recognize that everyone has flaws and imperfections. This non-judgmental awareness is key to self-acceptance.

Practice Self-Compassion: Treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding you would offer a friend. When you encounter parts of yourself that you find challenging, respond with compassion instead of criticism.

Embrace Your Wholeness: Understand that self-acceptance means embracing all parts of yourself—both strengths and weaknesses. Accept that you are a work in progress, and that growth is a continuous journey.

Integrate Your Insights: Use the insights gained from self-inquiry to make positive changes in your life. This might involve setting healthier boundaries, pursuing your passions, or seeking support from a therapist or coach.

By prioritizing self-care and engaging in self-inquiry, we pave the way to self-acceptance. This acceptance is not about condoning our flaws but acknowledging them as part of our human experience. It frees us from the tyranny of perfectionism and allows us to live authentically, with inner peace and confidence. As we accept ourselves more fully, we naturally extend this acceptance to others, fostering a more
compassionate and understanding world. Click for more: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D11FK1RV
