Journal Work: Helps Master Our Mental Plane

It really doesn’t matter what our issue is or what our past has been. If we want to overcome something, we can find a way to use journal work to help facilitate change.

We can set up a particular type of journal, like a gratitude journal, to help us become more thankful for what we do have.

We can also keep a bullet journal and set goals to help get the most benefit of every moment of every day. That is the secret to LIVING IN THE NOW.

Let’s look in more detail at how journal work can help combat our negative, programmed thinking.

Journal work allows us to explore our thoughts & feelings.

Journal work can help us to simply focus on writing expressively. Creating our thoughts and feelings surrounding whatever we are dealing with is so very helpful. If we can write about the depths of our feelings and when we first noticed them, we may be able to identify the core cause of the feelings.

When we do that, we can develop a plan to solve the problem and better understand our thoughts.

We become what we think about the most, what we say to others, and what we say to ourselves. That is the Mental Plane influence! That is worth our time and energy and worthy of our mastery!

Journal work gives us a way to express our thoughts & feelings.

Writing is a time-honored way of expressing thoughts and feelings safely. We never have to let anyone read it, unless we decide it is helpful to share.

We can write it down in the form of letters to people, or to ourselves, or even to someone we don’t know. We really just journal to keep it for ourselves. When we are finished writing, we will be amazed to actually get it out in the light to study and analyze.

Journal work provides ways to understand our thoughts & feelings.

Inner dialogue forms the bulk of our thoughts. Powerful self-talk can override a lifetime of bad programming and redirect our subconscious mind, correcting our Mental Plane, on purpose.

Sometimes we may not even know what we are feeling. It can often be hard to understand and express what we feel, even to ourselves. Thoughts create and control everything about us. Some programming is obvious but much of what we’ve absorbed over a lifetime isn’t even realized.

When we focus on writing it down, it can help us understand everything in a new way, from a new direction that we may not have considered before, with details, facts and fantasy laid bare.

Journal work can help foster social connections.

Our past programming sets up our beliefs and our beliefs control everything about us. What we believe determines our attitude and affects our feelings. That directs our behavior and our action steps which determine our success or failure to participate in the NOW.

Writing can help us analyze our Physical Plane and that can foster social connections to reshape our world.

The main reason is that as we read through what we’ve written, we usually discover ways to overcome our negative thoughts and actions because we’ve managed to step away. Our Mental Plane, our thoughts, literally control everything about us and create our Physical Plane world. Stepping away may enable us to find the healthy perspective needed to move forward and implement needed changes.

Journal work can help us see the bigger picture.

Looking back at the things we’ve written can provide insight into the situation that we never realized. Having the journal to look back on our thoughts provides a way to see the bigger picture with fresh eyes and new perspectives. Looking back on journals from years ago can be truly eye-opening. Seeing our “younger self” and reading our thought processes can be an unbelievable revelation! Often, much of what was written is forgotten so it is also a great way to recall past events and experiences.

Journal work can provide a means, a structure, to better understand and organize our thoughts.

Writing things down, especially when choosing a particular method like the bullet journal, will help get our thoughts set in an organized and useful way. When our thoughts are written down, they are out of our head; they are visible and able to be organized.

A purposeful structure can make all the difference. How we feel impacts our actions and brings the inevitable results of our choices to our attention.

Journal work can help sharpen our observation skills and master our Mental Plane.

Once we start writing regularly and it becomes a habit, something amazing will happen. Our observation skills will be sharper, and we will have an easier time coming up with descriptive and expressive words to use in our journal. This is going to lead to even more breakthroughs, greater clarity, and true self-awareness. New input brings new self-talk and directs our beliefs and behaviors to positive action steps.

Journal work can help focus on what actually is true & right in our life.

Something funny happens when writing in a journal, even if it’s not specifically a gratitude journal. What happens is that as we are writing (even if we are upset), we become calmer, especially when we read it back.

We will become grateful for what we do have that is positive in our life, even if it’s simply the ability to breathe in and out today.

Journal work helps us master our Mental Plane, to become specific enough to see the truth as it is and to accept it as it is, keeping our Physical Plane real.
